My Powershot A480 says Memory Card Locked, can’t access my photos on my camera? ?
My Canon Powershot A480 was one of the most desired gadgets I have ever purchased and I took a good care of it from past 1 year. I use the Sandisk SDHC memory Card which is 4GB of capacity. One day when I inserted the memory card back to the memory slot of the digital camera then I found that the camera is saying Card Error, Card Locked. I was afraid what happen to my camera and memory card. I tried to re-insert the memory card but no luck. Please give me some solutions.

One of my friends has also Canon Powershot A480 and I personally seen the pictures that are taken by this camera. The picture quality was so awesome that this digital camera becomes one of my favorites. The memory card locked or card locked error comes when a person tries to transfer files on the write-protect disk or when the memory card is having some sort of corruption on it. The solutions for this problem are: Unlock the memory card – There is a lock on the left side of the SD/SDHC card. The lock is used to make the memory card write protect and writable. If the switch is down (locked) the slid up and make It in the unlock position. If it is locked then no any type of activity can be done over the memory card. It is to be noted that if you are using the MicroSD/MicroSDHC or a miniSD/MiniSDHC card then insert the card into the standard SD adapter. If it does not worked then the problem is in the memory card and now it can only be solved via using the Canon Photo Recovery because you are using the memory card with Powershot A480 which is a canon Product. No matter what is the reason of corruption and card error in the camera, the software will rescue all the photos from the corrupted memory card and all the inaccessible items will be recovered and accessible once again.
